Experience new adventures with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. As you step beyond the PADI Open Water Diver level, you make five dives and have the opportunity to try some of diving’s most rewarding and useful specialty activities, such as deep diving, digital underwater photography, night diving and much more. The Advanced scuba course allows you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 30 meters/100 feet without professional supervision and takes your diving to the next level.

With your PADI Instructor you complete the deep and underwater navigation Adventure Dives. These dives boost your confidence as you build these foundational skills. Then, you choose three additional dives from night diving, search and recovery, Fish ID, underwater nature study, multilevel and computer diving, peak performance buoyancy, underwater photography, enriched air amongst other adventures.
Here at Oceans Unlimited with have given you three options for your ADvanced open water training. You can complete the AWARE advanced open water, focusing on Fish identification, the underwater realm and conservation, The Explorer option with a selection of exploration type dives, or a custom track for you.

Eco Advanced Course

Would you like to focus your advanced program on more conservation and ecology type options. We have the perfect program for you here with the ECO warrior advanced course. As well as your Deep and Navigation dives you will complete a Fish ID module, Underwater Naturalist and an AWARE shark dive. Giving you the chance to really look at the ecology and make up of the underwater realm.

Explorer Advanced Course

Want to take your training to the next level. With this track you will look at dive options that hone and improve your skills as an underwater explorer. These include a search and recovery dive, drift diving techniques and Delayed surface marker Buoy diving, as well as your Deep and navigation options.

Custom Advanced Course

Thinking that you would like to mix it up a little bit? No problem. With this custom option you can pick and choose what dives you would specifically like to focus on for your PADI Advanced open water training. Along with your Deep and Navigation dives you can pick from a number of choices including Digital underwater imaging, drift, Fish ID or many more. Let us know what you want t learn about today!

General Course Information

Duration: 2-3 days Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and 15 years old.
Number of dives: Five dives Includes: Adventures in Diving manual and work slate All scuba equipment provided

Junior Advanced Open water diver

Minimum age 12 years old – maximum depth is 70 feet All elements of the Advanced Open Water course must be completed to certify
Under 18′s must have PADI release forms signed by a parent of guardian before starting training (please see forms attached below)

If you are between 10 years old and 12 years old you can complete the junior adventure diver certification with us too!

Meet the local residents during your training…

If you sign up with PADI eLearning for your advanced open water program then you can can spend more time diving and less time in the classroom. You will complete all of your academics online so you will be ready to get in the water as soon as you arrive. You can choose from 7 of the most popular Adventure Dives for course, the 2 required topics Deep and Underwater Navigation; then you can choose 3 dives from Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night, Wreck, Underwater Naturalist or Boat Diver.

To enroll you must:

Be 10 years or older( for the junior Adventure diver, 12 years old for the junior advanced)

Continuing Education Administrative Document
Youth Diving Responsibility and Risks Acknowledgment (PDF)
